My specialty is algebraic geometry and its applicatiions to coding theory and cryptography.  I also enjoy thinking about problems of aerodynamics and navigation.

I am the author of Understanding Mathematics for Aircraft Navigation (McGraw-Hill, 2001).  I have also written many technical papers.
